What is Maca?
Maca (lepidium meyenii) is a plant that grows in the central
highlands of Peru, in areas especially rugged and inhospitable, above 3,500
metres of height, in the cordillera of the Andes, where there is virtually no
other form of plant life.

Andean root been known all over the world, since it is a very energizing plant
