My story
Profile:
My journey began a few years ago, when I realized I was
unhealthy. Inside and out! I was eating
a lots of process food, going out to eat, and doing extremely exercising. I
lost weight but in an unhealthy way. My body was very unbalanced. I wouldn’t even sit down and relax I was under a lot of
stress and became very obsess with exercising.
This caused a huge imbalance in my body and soul. At the time,
I thought it was normal, but I had to get some blood work done and I was diagnosed
with Hashimoto Disease, doctor said, I had to take a pill for the rest of my
life to balance my thyroid. I didn’t know anything about Hashimoto Disease or
anything related to the thyroid, but one thing I did know was that I was not
willing to be medicated for the rest of my like without trying something
natural to fix my problem.
I research lots about this and found out that people have
cured themselves with food and herbs. I found a naturopath doctor. After my
first visit, I knew I was in good hands and that she could help. First thing
she recommended was to cut gluten and
dairy out of my diet as this cause inflammation in the body. At this point I was very confused. The way I had cooked for my
whole life had to change. What’s next a diet? I looked up a lot of them and
said BINGO, I am fallowing a “Paleo diet”, no dairy, no gluten, along with
other restrictions. I looked up recipes
and started my way, I was consuming a lot of meat, mostly poultry, some
vegetables, nuts and I was exercising a lot. The level of stress increased do
to I didn’t know what to cook or what vegetables I could and couldn’t eat.
These
big mess help me realize how much I enjoy reading about nutrition, food,
controversy, what’s good and bad, benefits of roots, vegetables, fruits, nut,
etc. Anything that has to do with natural healing. Web searching, I found a
health coach program! I read about it and I became an alumni within no time!
A health coach is exactly what I needed to guide me through
a life change, healthy way of living, but I didn’t have one so I wanted to
became one, to help very
many people like me that is lost at what to do, to get healthier.
Through my journey, I found out that it’s not only what you
eat but it’s also your surroundings, life is a whole, we must look at it in a holistic
way. A healthy lifestyle is not just about food. You may already eat healthy
but what else is annoying you that is not allowing you to succeed at what you
want. Is it your career? Your relationships? Finances? Spirituality? The list
goes one.
Now, I found a balance in my life. I change my eating habits and I am fulfilled in many ways.
As a health coach, I want to provide people with not only
healthy eating food demos and healthy ingredients alternatives. I want to guide
people to reach their ideal weight, health goals and holistic wellness. We are
all different, we are all unique
individuals.
